Fall In Love with Moments, Live by It
Have you ever wondered what it really feels to live by the moment? Nowadays, we tend to live in a very demanding world in which we expect everything to be just perfect. We are so impatient, we criticize flaws, and tend to forget those who love and always been there for us day in and day out.
We always look to the future that will make us happier. We often think about the transformation we want and that we will be happier once they happen. Or even we think we want more of something to make us happy, may it be material or non material things. It might seem counter-intuitive, but do know that these aren’t the things that make us happy. But it doesn’t mean we don’t want to change or improve everything with our lives, or indeed have more – but that those things alone are unlikely to boost our happiness and contentment, if we are not happy now. Being appreciative and grateful can help us do this by focusing on everything that we have rather than anything that we want. Because if we put concentration on what we don’t have, then we will never ever have enough.
Today mediocrity has crept in; attention spans are shorter; intolerance is rampant; blind appreciation is raw. And so we must seek for ourselves if we have the capability to appreciate, because if we don’t, then we must arise from the slumber, nurture it and bring it back in each one of us.
There is a famous quote coming from Maya Angelou — “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, will forget what you did, but, people will never forget how you made them feel.”
So remember to live each and everyday by the moments, make yourself fall in love with it.
