Ang buhay ay hindi isang fairy tale. Isang debutante sa Cebu ang nagdesisyon na gawin ang kaniyang photoshoot sa kalsada ng kaniyang siyudad. Imbis na piliin ang pinakasikat na lokasyon at makapigil hininga na mga lugar ay pinili ni Vanezza Faith Miranda na mag-gala sa kalsada ng Cebu City para makuha ang mga sinasabi niyang “places where adventures await” her.

“A lot of people asked me why I chose this kind of theme on my pre-debut photoshoot. I just wanted to be authentic on my theme. I wanted to showcase Cebu and Cebuana beauty,” ayon kay Miranda sa kaniyang facebook post. Gusto niyang makita ng mga tao ang ibang perspective ng Cebu. Gusto niyang makita ng mga tao ang genuine smile at puso ng mga Cebuanos.

 “Adulthood will take you to these places. Places where adventures await and your soul must be brave enough to face it.The world of legality welcomes you to a more realistic responsibilities and not a princess’ duties,” dagdag pa ni Miranda. “Learn to ride a jeepney because you won’t always be picked up by a Ferrari.”

Suot ang isang ball gown habang hawak ang mga putting lobo, sumakay si Miranda ng jeep at elf truck, nakipaghalubilo sa mga tinder sa palengke, kumain ng streetfood, tumayo sa mga shops at fruit stands at pati narin sa mga lechon stores.

“From the little girl I used to be to the woman I should be. My heart is full of gratitude because God has blessed me with another year to enjoy,” pasasalamat n I Miranda. Paalala pa ni Miranda sa kaniyang mga kapwa babae na wag matakot na gawin ang mga creative ideas ng dahil lang sa kanilang mga body shape, size at color. “Chin up beautiful, just because you didn’t pass the world’s standards of beauty, doesn’t mean you are not wonderfully made.”
